Seafield Tower, a mansion in Ardrossan parish, Ayrshire, near the coast, 1 mile N by W of the town. Built in 1820, and greatly enlarged and improved in 1858, it is now a château-like edifice in a pleasing combination of the Scottish Baronial, Jacobean, and Italian styles. In 1881 it was purchased for £7050 by Arch. Douglas Bryce Douglas, Esq.Ord. Sur., sh. 22, 1865. See A. H. Millar's Castles and Mansions of Ayrshire (Edinb. 1885).
