Kinver (or Kinfare), small town and par., in SW. of Staffordshire, on river Stour and Stafford Canal, 4 miles SW. of Stourbridge, 8790 ac., pop. 2842; P.O., T.O.; has ironworks; on S. side of Kinver Edge is a Saxon camp, 900 ft. by 600 ft., with barrow.
