Kirkpatrick-Irongray, par., NE. Kirkcudbright, 13,675 ac., pop. 784; the church is on Cluden Water, 4½ miles NW. of Dumfries; in the churchyard of Iron-gray is a monument to Helen Walker, the "Jeanie Deans" of Scott's Heart of Midlothian.
