Pendeen, eccl. dist. and vil., St Just in Penwith par., Cornwall - dist., pop. 2311; vil., on the coast, 7 miles NW. of Penzance; P.O.; near the vil. is Pendeen Watch House, a coastguard station. Pendeen was the birthplace of Borlase (1696-1772), the Cornish historian.
