Walton on Thames, par. and vil. with ry. sta. (Walton and Hersham), Surrey - par. (containing Hersham and Oatlands eccl. dists.), 6859 ac., pop. 6572; vil., 2½ miles NE. of Weybridge and 17 SW. of London by rail; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank. Walton is celebrated for its splendid views of the Thames; it is a great resort of anglers and tourists; it contains numerous fine villas, and has a fair for cattle and horses on Easter Monday.
