Pop., 327. Houses, 69. The manor belongs to P. Saltmarsh, Esq.—The chapelry is larger than the township, and was constituted in 1858. Pop., 790. Houses, 154. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of York. Value, £70. * Patron, P. Saltmarsh, Esq. The church is a brick building, with a tower. There is a Wesleyan chapel.
