Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for BEIGHAM

BEIGHAM, a hamlet in Frant parish, Kent; 2½ miles W of Lamberhurst. A small Premonstratensian monastery was founded here in 1200; and given, at the dissolution, to Cardinal Wolsey, in aid of his colleges.
