RYCOTE, a liberty in Great Haseley parish, Oxford; 2 miles S W of Thame. Real property, £1, 296. Pop., 46. Houses, 11. The property belonged to the Ricotes; passed to the Quatremains, the Herons, the Williamses, and the Norrises; and gives the title of Baron to the Earl of Abingdon. Queen Elizabeth was twice at R. Park, first as a prisoner, next in 1592.
