NETTLETON, a village and a parish in Caistor district, Lincoln. The village stands in a valley, at thefoot of a bold projection of the Wolds, called Nettletonhill, 1 mile S S W of Caistor, and 2 E N E of Moortown r.station. The parish comprises 3, 570 acres. Post-town, Caistor. Real property, £4, 574. ...


Pop., 536. Houses, 112. The manor belongs to Sir Culling Eardley, Bart. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lincoln. Value, £550. Patron, the Rev. S. Turner. The church ischiefly Norman, and has a tower. There are chapels for Wesleyans and Primitive Methodists, a British school, and charities £20.
