PIREHILL, a hundred in the N W and centre of Stafford; cut into two divisions, N and S. The N div.contains Adbaston parish, eighteen other parishes, and parts of three others. Acres, 91, 148. Pop. in 1851, 126, 957. Houses, 23, 692. The S div. contains Barlaston parish, eighteen other parishes, and parts of twoothers. Acres, 110, 345. Pop. in 1851, 22, 916. Houses, 4, 508. Pop. of the whole in 1861, 149, 734. Houses, 29, 637.
