Gore  Middlesex


In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Gore like this:

GORE, a hundred in the NW of Middlesex; traversed by Watling-street; and containing Edgware parish and six other parishes. Acres, 28, 577. Pop. in 1851, 12, 956; in 1861, 15, 341. Houses, 2, 747.
