In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described St Enodock like this:

ENODOCK (St.), a quondam chapelry in St. Minver parish, Cornwall; at the mouth of the river Alan, under Bray hill, 5½ miles NW of Wadebridge. Its church is ancient, but lies partly buried under drift sand.
