Eppleton, Great and Little, 2 townships, Houghton-le-Spring par., N. Durham, 8 miles and 6½ miles NE. of Durham -- Great E., 707 ac., pop. 55; Little E., 337 ac., pop. 38; contains Eppleton Colliery, with school.
