Descriptive gazetteer entries

In 1887, John Bartholomew's Gazetteer of the British Isles described Old Brentford like this:

Old Brentford, 2 eccl. dists. (St George and St Paul), Baling par., Middlesex, forming part of the town of Brentford; pop.- St George, 3675; St Paul, 5997.

This is the only descriptive gazetter entry we have found, but you may be able to find further references to Old Brentford by doing a full-text search here.
