EXE (Nether), a parish in St. Thomas district, Devon; on the river Exe, near the Bristol and Exeter railway, 5½ miles N by E of Exeter. Post town, Thorverton, under Collumpton. Acres, 450. Real property, £1, 257. Pop., 78. Houses, 17. The living is a p. curacy in the diocese of Exeter. Value, £68. Patrons, Eight Feoffees. The church is ancient; and consists of nave and chancel, with small bell turret.
