THORNBY, a parish in Brixworth district, Northampton; 5 miles NW of Brixworth r. station. Post town, Welford, under Rugby. Acres, 1,212. Real property, £2,634. Pop., 252. Houses, 52. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Peterborough. Value, £364.* Patron, the Rev. J. Couchman. The church is good. Charities £5 and 24 acres of poors' land.
