In 1870-72, John Marius Wilson's Imperial Gazetteer of England and Wales described Senni like this:

SENNY, a hamlet in Devynnock parish, Breconshire; on a rivulet of its own name, 8 miles S W by W of Brecon. It has a post-office, of the name of Senny-Bridge, under Brecon. Real property, £1, 878. Pop., 244. Houses, 50.
