Cause of Death as reported by the Registrar General's Quarterly Returns, 1871-1911. These reports used a greatly simplified cause of death classification, mainly focused on epidemic diseases of childhood, and provided no breakdown of causes of death by gender or age. Note that the detailed classification changed between 1901 and 1911: in 1911, Cholera was not listed, 'Fever' was replaced by the more specific 'Enteric or Typhoid Fever', and 'Diarrhoea' was replaced by 'Diarrhoea and Enteritis', specifical...
